ABOUT CITY GIRL BEAUTY PROJECT?

Inspired by "real moments" and actual events, City Girl Beauty Project was founded in 2011 to provide a vehicle through which young women and girls (ages 18 - 30) who are survivors of domestic violence, and human trafficking can use their life experiences to create change among their peers. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Through our Beauty & Leadership workshop, we enable young women to become changemakers
and leaders within their communities. Participants will learn:

 

Style & Imaging: Beauty, style and makeup skills.
Empowerment: Leadership & development skills.
Social Influence: How to make a difference and create change.

Community Impact: How to utilize their stories to make an impact.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

The workshop is open to female candidates who meet the following requirements:

 

  • Female

  • Survivor of Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault or Human Trafficking

  • Age 18-30

  • Resides in NYC 5 boroughs or Tri-State area
