'Hair + Fashion' makes for a stylish Sunday

Spend Sunday in style at Bernae's Hair and Fashion Week.

The traveling fashion show has been to big cities such as Los Angeles and Miami, and it's been to St. Thomas too. Now, it's coming to Jersey City.

From 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, the Harborside Atrium at 210 Hudson St. will host a Rio de Janeiro-themed show that will feature three designers from Jersey City -- Joi Louise, Finding Fabulous Fashion and Solidify'd -- as well as designers from other cities.

The show will hold three competitions -- a barber competition, a fashion designer competition and a hair styling competition -- with the winner of the hair styling competition going on to represent Jersey City in the Las Vegas Hair and Fashion Show Oct. 5-7.

Guests stars from Jersey City will also attend the event, including Ms. World Elite 2018 Jeanette Josue and Mr. New Jersey Jamez Eli.

The show will also feature music by DJ Chauncey B and performances by Jersey City double dutch team The H.O.N.E.Y. Bees.

Admission is $20 for general admission or $35 for VIP tickets that include light hors d'oeurves and a swag bag.

An afterparty will be held at Brightside Tavern, 141 Bight St.
